These diagrams describe the muzzle arrangement and thread specifications for mounting TBAC suppressors on centerfire rifles and rimfire rifles and pistols. This applies to both the direct thread attach models (eg 30P-1) and the brake-attach models (eg 30BA). This print will provide your gunsmith all the information he needs to successfully thread your muzzle to standard specifications. Click on the image below for a printable PDF.
1/2-28 threads are too small for .30 caliber. There is not enough metal between the bore grooves and the thread root diameter.
For 6.5mm (0.264") up to .30 caliber, we recommend a minimum of 9/16-24 threads.
If your barrel does not support the minimum dimension "D" in the diagram, we have a "FACE MOUNT"
brake that "may" work for your rifle. Please call for details.
We also have a list of recommended gunsmiths to do barrel threading.
We have a series of video tutorials about threads and threading, THREAD VIDEO TUTORIALS
