Revolutionary 50 BMG Suppressor
Being long-range guys, a 50 BMG suppressor was always on our horizon. The goal statement for the R&D of this was very simple: "Make a 50 suppressor so I can shoot 50BMG all day recoil-wise, with only normal earplugs."
The result will be shocking to anyone who has shot a lot of 50BMG with a muzzle brake or normal suppressor. The ULTRA50 reduces recoil by 65% compared to a bare muzzle while presenting a peak dBA sound pressure level at the shooter's ear of approximately 136 dB.
For comparison's sake, the next most well known "braked 50 suppressor" is 20 -- twenty -- dB louder at the shooter's ear.
But you don't have to take our word for it, just check out these videos or talk to someone who has shot it.
The ULTRA50 is modular in that it has a center section that, when removed, makes the overall length about 4.0" shorter.
The modules and "RR" brake on the end mount together using tapered interfaces. The RR brake itself can be timed independently of the suppressor body.
The ULTRA50 is available only in the Big-SR or "BSR" mount. As the name suggests, this a scaled-up version of our SR "Secondary Retention" system and will mount to one of our BSR-NTB muzzle devices.
The BSR mount MUST BE operated correctly to ensure retention. Instructions are engraved on the suppressor. These instructions must be followed for correct suppressor mounting. Failure to do so will cause damage to equipment and possibly injury.
We are offering the BSR mount for the following muzzle thread patterns: 7/8-24, 7/8-14, 1-14, M25x1.5, and M24x1.
The AI rifles are M24x1 and will use what we are calling the M24x1FM mount pattern. This is a "FACE MOUNTED" or "face indexed" brake intended to bottom out on the muzzle. AI rifles will need to have their muzzles faced to ensure the muzzle plane is exactly normal (square) to the bore line. Mile High Shooting can do this for you. M24x1FM brakes are only distributed through TBAC or Mile High.
Follow this link to contact Mile High for the BSR Install Service.
The 7/8-24 is new -- it is an "ideal" thread configuration for 50BMG that TBAC has come up with and what we recommend if your muzzle does not have threads.
PLEASE CONSULT TBAC ENGINEERING STAFF FOR THREAD SPECIFICATIONS. THREADING MUST BE CORRECT AND THE BRAKE MUST BE INSTALLED CORRECTLY BEFORE FIRING.

The Barrett semi-auto will not operate correctly with the ULTRA50. If you attempt it you will void your rifle warranty and you will probably damage your rifle.
Operation on other semi-auto .50's is not known. A gas-operated rifle that can have the gas turned down appropriately "should" work.
