Hi all, I was just curious what size targets can be expected at some of the practical rifle comps? Does it vary by distance normally? What size would you recommend to use for practice? As of now all I have is a 10" round plate. It is a bit of a challenge out past 700 yards for me. I've been considering buying another and was curious what size is normally used for 800-1200 yard ranges. Thanks!
1-2.5 MOA at distance diamonds (squares suspended by one corner) are harder than circles or squares 10" is a versatile target size-- at least half my "match" plates are 10 inchers For 800-1200 yards a foot square or 14" is more fair
Zak, Whose targets would you recommend? What thickness? How would you recommend hanging them or what type of stand seems to work best for a portable field shooting?
I recommend buying some from AAtargets.com . Austin made almost all the targets I use at the C-D events. They are awesome.
