Does using a caliber specific suppressor have an impact on precision? (ie 6.5 ultra 9 on a 6.5 Creedmoor versus a ultra 9 .30 caliber on a 6.5 Creedmoor)

    No, just suppression level

Just to clarify then, if I'm shooting a 6.5 Creedmoor, I should get better suppression using the 6.5 Ultra 9 instead of the .30 caliber model? ( I think I read this in one of your test result posts, but it didn't really go into precision, just suppression and recoil )

What about on a gas gun?

With a 6.5 Grendel, would the higher back pressure on the 6.5 Ultra create more gas noise at the bolt than the .30 Ultra? If so, would the higher level of gas noise at the ejection port negate the better suppression at the muzzle for the bore size specific 6.5 Ultra?
