i have read the following articles(great job by th way) and i do have to ask. OU side of the standard use of Leupold,USO,Nightforce and S&B is there any other glass thats at a grand or less that will suffice?? what about Weaver,Millet, Burris. I see that they all have "tactical" labeled scope with the mil-dot or mil-has reticles and the 1/4MOA adjustments but imjust looking for some advice.
Repeatability and accuracy of adjustments is the most important thing, along with keeping zero. In the higher end scopes you get more features that help such as matching MOA/MIL systems and first focal plane reticles, and obviously more quality.
